Bobby Tarr (above, left) departed Bishop Fenwick High School in 2008 as the state’s third all-time leading rusher, his 5,601 total receiving a major boost from a spectacular senior season in which he racked up 2,547 yards and 31 touchdowns.
As a collegian, Tarr has learned to be patient.
His freshman season at Bentley was derailed twice: he underwent hip surgery the spring of his senior year at Fenwick for a torn labrum, and then persevered through a scary heart infection (myocarditis) in the early fall, requiring a rush to the emergency room at Massachusetts General.
